CREATING A VISUAL BRAND - Socials by Ali Brand Photoshoot
This past month, I had the opportunity to partner with Ali Bruning, owner of Socials by Ali, to develop a visual brand that truly reflects the heart of her business. As a social media manager and website designer, Ali wanted imagery that felt polished yet approachable. We wanted to capture photos that showed her personality while speaking directly to her ideal clients: coffeeshops, boutiques, and florists who value intentional, cohesive branding.
We kicked things off with a brainstorming meeting over coffee at Daily Dose, where we talked through her goals, brand voice, dream clients, and how she wanted potential customers to feel when they landed on her website or social platforms. That conversation helped us clarify the story we wanted her photos to tell and the types of moments we wanted to capture.
From there, I created a custom moodboard and developed the creative direction for the session. We focused on clean, modern visuals, thoughtful styling, and a mix of lifestyle and workspace imagery so Ali would have versatile content for every part of her marketing.
When the shoot day arrived, everything came together seamlessly. Because we had spent time planning and refining the vision ahead of time, we were able to move efficiently, stay relaxed, and capture exactly what we had imagined (and more!). The result was a gallery full of cohesive, on-brand imagery that Ali can use confidently across her business.
In the end, I delivered a gallery of 60 high-resolution photos designed to support her brand across social media, her website, and future marketing materials. Below are some of my favorites! ✨
